ELINT was founded in the winter of 2008 by Tomasz Rutkowski (RETRIBIUTION’s lead guitarist, CEMETERY OF SCREAM’s drummer) and Maciej Bartnicki (VELVET THORNS’ keyboardist). The name ELINT itself is derived from the USA’s Electronic Intelligence (acronym ELINT) system, which had first been applied during the Cold War. In 2009, vocalist Dominik Burzym joined the band. The band explores the electro-trash metal genre. Lyrically – for which the band’s godfathers Zdzisław Zabierzewski (manager) and Darryl Fuller (American supporter and co-manager) are fully responsible – the debut album concept is based on cosmic, military and totalitarian themes. At present, ELINT has just finished working intensely on the live versions of their 9 tracks included on the debut album called “New Space Order”. This album is out in the near future.
